Photo Triennale Hambourg, 2015 SATELLITE SHOWREFUGEE PERSPECTIVES – DOMINIC NAHR, AYMAN OGHANNA, GIULIO RIMONDI
Giulio Rimondi will participate with two other photographers, Dominic Nahr and Ayman Oghanna to the Triennial of Photography in Hambourg, Germany, between 18/6 and 31/7.
The event title, Refugee Perspectives, covers 2 crises, from 3 perspectives but focusing on 1 topic.
From the Triennial site:
"two photographers travelled to Iraq to document the situation of refugees and displaced persons – close to the people and with a firm eye on the overall setting. A third photographer avoided focussing on the people. What does a picture need to explain, to touch, to stay in our memory? What can and should crisis region reporters achieve and what formal means are appropriate for them to use?
Three perspectives that show that, in times where the numbers of crises are rapidly increasing, the photojournalist of the future will have to find answers to these questions, to be able to assert his or her relevance. "
