Artegiro ha assegnato a dicembre 2009 l'Artegiro Artist Residency ad Emily Humphries, un'affermata pittirice australiana
Nel 2010 Emily ha trascorso tre mesi in Tuscia e dipinto la mostra che e' ora aperta al pubblico dal 7 ottobre al 8 novenbre alla galleria Artegiro, Ecstasy: In and Out of the Sublime.
La sua idea iniziale era di carpire e dialogare sulla natura della felicita' sublime, discernendo tra espressioni di certezze e comportamenti. Quello che e' sopraggiunto attraverso la sua esperienza e i volti antichi e contemporaneit dell'Italia di oggi, l'onnipresenza di artisti come Masaccio, Piero della Francesca, cosi' come l'opera di Kutlug Ataman e' una sorprendente trasfigurazione che sfugge da ogni catalogazione.
La invitiamo cordialmente ad unirsi a noi questo sabato 16 ottobre alle 19 per un aperitivo in galleria con la presenza dell'artista che interagira' con il pubblico e presentera' la sua opera.

A Solo Exhibition by Emily Humphries: Ecstasy, In and Out of the Sublime
Emily Humphries, recipient of the 2010 Artegiro Artist Residency, has produced some of her most intriguing work in Ecstasy:In and Out of the Sublime, her new exhibition which will be presented by Artegiro Gallery between the 8 October and 7 November 2010.
In the Artegiro tradition a vernissage is held after the opening of the show . The vernissage will therefore happen on 16 October. The same evening an encounter with the artist and art critic and artist Luciano Ponzio will take place at 8pm.

2010 Artegiro Artist Residency
Emily Humphries is the 2010 Artegiro Artist Residency recipient.
The Artegiro Artist Residency in 2010 takes place between 22 May and 17 August in a small historic town 88km North of Rome, Montefiascone.
Emily Humphries, an Australian based artist, will participate in various relevant events in Italy and France, will meet other artists, visit galleries and museums and work in the Artegiro Artist Residency studio.
Her projects involves etching and painting as well as working on a documentary.
Emily Humphries will hold an exhibition in the Artegiro gallery in August 2010.
