Anita Matell

 Anita Matell is born in Uppsala, Sweden. She has studied art and classical ballet in Stockholm and New York, and later worked mainly in Paris as a performing artist, specializing in baroque dance. Anita is a sculptor and doll maker ( as she likes to say she is mother of a son and four daughters and some 500 dolls...). 

She is currently working on a body of work in sculpture and drawings, Proof of Traces of Becoming ( see Events within the artist's section) which will also be the object of a solo exhibition in March 2011. 

Matell has an ongoing creative collaboration with Florence based artist Paolo Carandini,  authoring with him a series of objects d'art ( see site: www.paolocarandini.com)
